I recently updated to Windows Me and now, everytime I use my default ISP connection, a predial terminal window appears. What is its function and how can I get rid of it?
The terminal window is only required for troubleshooting during the logon process when you might want to log on manually. To get rid of it, follow these instructions: open My Computer, then open the Dial-Up Networking folder. Right-click your ISP connection icon and select Properties. On the General tab, click Configure. Select the Options tab and clear the checkbox that says 'Bring up terminal window before dialing', then close the dialog boxes by clicking ok.
